MIDA Informatica offers a comprehensive and accurate high-quality digitisation service for old books and documents. We use planetary scanners with a 65×110 cm scanning bed and resolutions of up to 600 dpi.
By combining the best equipment on the market with the skills and experience of our operators, we guarantee a top-quality digitisation process that takes great care of the original documents. In order to achieve this, our planetary scanners contain a lighting system that uses ultraviolet and infra-red rays, as well as a self stabilising scan bed.
We also digitise photography collections – glass plates, photographs, negatives, slides – and any other originals.
We have over 10 years of experience that we draw on in order to take care of the entire life-cycle of your images. Our additional services include the long-term cataloguing, restoration and conservation of original and digital images, ad hoc management and consultancy software for images and documents, and MidaBook, Mida’s solution for browsing digital books.
Over the years we have digitised over 1 million documents for major institutions including Leonardo da Vinci’s Codex Atlanticus for the Ambrosian Library, the Verona Historical Archives, the Dalmine Foundation, the Angelo Mai Public Library in Bergamo, the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan, and many more.
